When Women Open Doors
September 21, 2026

I have had women open doors for me before.
This season is not the first time.
But it still feels beautiful every time it happens.
There is something sacred about watching another woman look at what you are building and decide she wants to help carry a piece of it.
Not because she has to.
Not because there is a spotlight waiting for her.
Not because she needs credit for the door.
Simply because she sees the purpose and says,
"I can help with that."
I am in that kind of season right now.
The launch of Every Woman's Purpose is no longer an idea sitting quietly in my notes.
It is becoming a room.
A real room.
With a date.
With a venue.
With food being planned.
With women preparing to sit on a panel and speak into something that means so much to me.
With people asking what needs to be done, who needs to be called, what can be moved, what can be covered, and how they can help.
And I will tell the truth.
It feels good.
It feels good to be the one receiving the open door.
It feels good to have a friend help secure a venue that feels aligned with the moment.
It feels good to have another woman care about the food, the flow, and the feeling of the room.
It feels good to have women willing to lend their voice to a book panel because they believe the conversation matters.
It feels good to not have to make every way by myself.
I know how to make a way.
I have done it many times.
I also know how to have faith in a way when there does not appear to be one.
That kind of faith has carried me through more than one season.
But faith does not always look like standing alone and waiting for God to move in private.
Sometimes faith looks like receiving the help He sends through people.
Sometimes it looks like letting another woman make the call, share the connection, open the room, or cover the detail.
Sometimes it looks like not shrinking the blessing because independence taught you how to survive without asking.
I am independent.
Deeply.
That has not changed.
But I am learning, again, that independence and interdependence are not enemies.
I can own the vision and still receive support.
I can lead the work and still let someone else open a door.
I can be grateful without feeling indebted to become smaller.
That matters to me.
Because so much of what I am building is about access and opportunity.
Opening doors.
Making rooms easier to enter.
Helping women recognize that purpose is not reserved for the few who already have every resource, every connection, every answer, and every perfect condition.
So it is beautiful, and a little emotional, to be in a season where other women are opening doors for me too.
Purpose has a way of doing that.
When it is real, it stops being only yours.
People begin to see themselves in it.
They bring what they have.
They add their gift.
They make the table better.
They remind you that the journey may carry your name, but the assignment was never meant to be built in isolation.
That is one of the gifts I am receiving right now.
The reminder that being strong does not mean being unsupported.
The reminder that being capable does not mean every task must stay in my hands.
The reminder that a door opened by another woman is still a door God can use.
And maybe that is why this season feels so full.
Not perfect.
Full.
Full of details.
Full of decisions.
Full of motion.
Full of gratitude.
Full of women showing up in ways that make me pause and say,
"Thank you, God. I see it."
So do the thing while being authentically you.
If they told you that you talk too much, start the podcast.
If they told you that you care too deeply, build the service that lets that care become impact.
If they told you that you are too dramatic, create the content that helps someone feel seen.
If they told you that you are too confident, use that confidence to encourage somebody else.
If they told you that you are too much, find the circle that has enough room for who you are becoming.
And when another woman opens a door for you, walk through it with gratitude.
Then remember the feeling.
Because one day, maybe sooner than you think, you will be the woman standing at the next door saying,
"Come on. I can help you with that."
That's part of my Herformation.
And maybe...
yours too.
